The WorkBuddy invite campaign on the China site is about to close: it runs until October 31, 2026, and right now a new user who registers through my invite link (invite code lr7hcjm520) and completes a single conversation gets a 2,000-credit welcome pack — four times the 500 credits the free tier gives you for a whole month.

Let me be upfront about the incentive: the invite code is attached to that link, so if you sign up through it I collect the 50-credit base reward and the 100-credit activity reward, and if you later upgrade to a paid plan we each get another 500 credits. On your side, the 2,000-credit pack is yours in full. It’s a two-way deal, not a hidden catch.

This post covers the official campaign rules, how much the free tier really gives you, what DeepSeek costs right now, and when paying actually makes sense. Every number comes from the official campaign page, the official docs, and hands-on checks in the client.

🎁 Register with the invite code and get 2,000 credits

Invite code lr7hcjm520 · Campaign ends October 31, 2026 · A paid upgrade pays 500 credits to both sides

1. How Much Can You Get from This Invite Campaign

The official campaign page spells out the rules, so there’s nothing to guess:

Role Trigger condition Credits Crediting time
Invited friend (you) Register for the first time and complete one conversation or task 2,000-credit new-user welcome pack Credited immediately after completion
Inviter (me) For each new friend who completes one conversation or task 50 credits Credited as soon as the friend first uses the product
Inviter (me) The friend is active for a total of 3 days within 7 days of first registering 100 credits Credited once the requirement is met
Both sides The invited new user upgrades to a paid personal plan within 30 days 500 credits each Credited after the friend’s payment completes

A few fine print items, all stated in the official FAQ:

  • How “activity” is counted: any valid usage on a given day (starting a conversation, calling a tool, running a task) counts as one active day. The 3 days do not have to be consecutive.
  • Only genuine new sign-ups count: someone who already has a WorkBuddy account clicking your link does not register as an effective invite.
  • There is a cap: the activity rewards (base + activity) are capped at 30,000 credits per inviter. The paid-upgrade bonus has no cap.
  • The expiries differ: credits the inviter earns are valid for 6 months; the friend’s 2,000-credit welcome pack is valid for 1 month; the 500-credit paid bonus is valid for 6 months on both sides. Unused credits are cleared when they expire and are not reissued.
  • The link dies, the rewards don’t: the link stays valid during the campaign. After October 31 it stops working, but invite relationships already established and rewards already credited are unaffected.
  • You can check the invite record: the “邀请记录” (invite records) button at the top of the campaign page shows each friend’s status — registered, how many active days, whether they paid.

Official WorkBuddy China-site invite campaign page: 50-credit base reward, 100-credit activity reward, the 2,000-credit new-user pack for friends, and a 500-credit paid bonus for both sides

The official page breaks the flow into three steps:

Step 1: share your dedicated link or poster. Hit “推荐朋友使用” on the campaign page to copy the link or generate a shareable poster.

Step 2: your friend registers through the link. It has to come from this link — accounts that already registered don’t count.

Step 3: your friend completes one real use. Registration alone isn’t enough. They need to run one conversation or task in the client, and only then does your 50-credit base reward land.

For the new user, that third step has an extra payoff: completing the first conversation is also what triggers the 2,000-credit welcome pack. So “register, then run one prompt” isn’t busywork — it’s the step that gets you paid.

3. What You Get Even Without Inviting Anyone

The invite campaign benefits both sides, but the free tier has its own allowance. Get the baseline straight:

  • Free tier (体验版) gives 500 credits per month, issued monthly, valid for that month, no rollover.
  • 5,000 code completions per month, unlimited during the promotional period.
  • 3 automated tasks, relaxed to 99 during the promotional period.
  • Model routing: automatic with Auto, and during the promo you can manually pick any model.
  • 5 projects, 3 members per project (5 during the promo), 5GB library, 10 hosted apps, 3 assistants, and a 5,000 resource quota per app.

Stack the 2,000-credit welcome pack on top and a brand-new account has a genuinely usable allowance for a while.

Two sites to keep apart: the China site (workbuddy.cn) and the international site (workbuddy.ai) are separate accounts with separate credits — invite codes don’t work across them. My earlier article covers the international edition (where DeepSeek V4.1 Flash runs at a 0x credit multiplier); this one is about the China site, and the rules differ substantially.

4. What DeepSeek Costs Right Now

On the China site, models are billed by credit multiplier. Here’s the actual multiplier list pulled from the client on October 22, 2026:

Model Multiplier Notes
Hy3 0.00x Limited-time free, runs through October 31
Step-5-Preview 0.00x Exclusive official partner promo, ends October 25
Deepseek-V4.1-Flash 0.11x Cheapest of the DeepSeek line
Deepseek-V4-Flash 0.17x —
MiniMax-M3.1-Flash 0.08x —
GLM-5.3-Flash 0.08x —
DeepSeek-V3.2 0.29x —
Hy4 preview 0.29x Free 23:00–08:00, Sept 11 – Oct 31
Deepseek-V4-Pro 0.51x —
GLM-5.3 0.69x —
Kimi-K3 1.62x Premium tier, for long-form and deep reasoning

On the China site, DeepSeek isn’t free — it’s discounted. The promo attached to those models reads: “Monday to Friday 09:00–12:00 and 14:00–18:00 are peak hours at full price; off-peak hours cost 50% of the credits.” In other words, run your DeepSeek work outside business hours and you pay half. GLM-5.2 has the same shape (“every night from 23:00 to 08:00, credits are temporarily halved”), and Hy4 preview is free from 23:00 to 08:00.

So the right way to use models on the China site is: pick cheap models for heavy work, and schedule the big jobs at night. If you want a true 0x multiplier on this site right now, that’s Hy3 (through October 31) and Step-5-Preview (through October 25).

5. When It’s Worth Paying

Since July 1, 2026 the China site’s personal plans come in three paid tiers:

Plan Monthly Continuous monthly Annual Base credits/month Bonus credits/month Total per month
Free tier (体验版) Free — — 500 — 500
Standard (标准版) ¥99 ¥70 ¥672 2,000 2,000 4,000
Advanced (高级版) ¥199 ¥140 ¥1,344 4,000 5,000 9,000
Flagship (旗舰版) ¥999 ¥700 ¥6,720 20,000 30,000 50,000

WorkBuddy China-site plan comparison: credits, code completion quota, model routing and resource limits across the Free, Standard, Advanced and Flagship plans

A few practical details:

  • Continuous monthly is the sweet spot: ¥70/month for the Standard plan, close to 30% off the ¥99 list price. Annual takes another 40% off that.
  • Top-up packs: 1,000 credits for ¥50, valid for one month, paid members only, no refunds once activated.
  • Legacy price protection: members who had monthly auto-renewal before July 1 keep paying ¥58/month until December 31, 2026.
  • Auto-renewal: continuous monthly and annual plans charge automatically the day before expiry. Cancel in advance if you don’t want to renew.
  • Credit rules: issued monthly, valid for that month, no rollover; the bonus portion is valid for one month from the day it’s credited; when spending, the earliest-expiring credits are consumed first, and base credits go before bonus credits at the same expiry.
  • One account, two products: WorkBuddy and CodeBuddy share credits on the same account — no need to subscribe twice.

My advice: run the free tier plus the invite pack for a week or two first. 2,000 credits on top of normal usage is usually enough to decide whether ¥70–99 a month is justified. Upgrade when you actually need full manual model selection, unlimited completions, CLI access, or more projects.

6. Six Things to Watch Out For

  1. Only accounts that never registered count. Old users clicking your link don’t create an invite relationship.
  2. Registering isn’t enough — run one conversation or task. Both the 50-credit base reward and the 2,000-credit pack hang on that action.
  3. The 2,000-credit pack expires in one month. Don’t hoard it; unused credits are wiped automatically.
  4. The inviter’s credits last 6 months. The 100-credit activity reward is back-loaded, so nudging your friend actually pays off.
  5. The link dies on October 31; the rewards don’t. Established invite relationships and already-credited credits are preserved.
  6. Don’t mix up the China site and the international site. Accounts, credits, model lists, and invite codes are entirely separate. Within one account, though, WorkBuddy and CodeBuddy do share credits.

7. FAQ

Q: My friend already registered. Can I still count the invite?
No. The campaign page is explicit: effective invites are limited to users who have never registered WorkBuddy before.

Q: When do the credits arrive?
The 50-credit base reward lands as soon as the friend first uses the product; the 100-credit activity reward lands once the friend has been active 3 days within 7; the 500-credit paid bonus lands after the friend’s payment completes. If something is delayed, refresh the invite record on the campaign page.

Q: Is there a cap on invite credits?
Activity rewards (base + activity) are capped at 30,000 credits per person. The paid-upgrade bonus has no cap.

Q: What can the credits be used for?
They’re product usage credits for calling AI models inside WorkBuddy — conversations, document generation, data analysis, and so on.

Q: How do I choose between the free and paid plans?
For everyday document writing, research, and occasional data analysis, 500 free credits plus the 2,000-credit pack plus 0x models is enough. Consider the Standard plan when you need multi-project work, locked model selection, and unlimited completions.

Q: Can I use it on my phone?
The China site ships a WeChat Mini Program plus iOS, Android, and HarmonyOS mobile apps. Download links live at the bottom of the campaign page under “文档指引 → 产品下载”.

Summary

The arithmetic is simple: a new user gets a 2,000-credit welcome pack, I collect 50 + 100 credits, and a paid upgrade pays another 500 credits to each side — and the campaign ends on October 31, after which the link stops working. If you want this, do it now: open the link, register, run one prompt in the client. The welcome pack and the invite reward land together.
